A Disk jockey popularly known by abbreviation Dj, is a person who plays recorded songs to audience. They mix different songs with rhythms that suites events like Night clubs, weddings, radio stations and lots more.

Benue music as an industry that is thriving to grow musically beyond it's region also have Djs who are puting so much energy to promote  the industry to the next level.

Regarding the industry's taste for growth, Producers, Bloggers, Djs Record Labels and hype men  have been doing well in the aspect of promoting Benue music to the world.

The likes of Mc Smart, Hype man Bonez, Dj Mafia, Peculiar hype, Gbege tv, Dj Sagy B, Dj Dephrenzy Dem jor, Wood House, Dj Tokyo, and many more have been consistence in promoting Benue music with their brands.

Music in Nigeria has grown over the years, and Lagos has been a hot spot which allot of people refer Fela Kuti and co for putting that Hallmark to the international community.

In early 200s 2face idibia took it to another level untill the era of Big Wiz, Davido and co which is recorded as most successful so far in the history of Nigerian music industry that took afro beat to lime line.

More effort is expected from Benue Music, and we expect more from our DJs to emulate Lagos Industrial DJs ( such as DJ MoreMuzic, Dj Baddo, DJ OP Dot and lots more) who have been consistent in promoting the underground music in Lagos.

The time is now," we need to sacrifice the sounds we love for the sounds we have".

This is the time to start listening to our songs so we can grow passion for our music.

And this Listening is more viral with the aid of DJs, Benue Djs need to play more of Benue music in their Mixtapes and their presentations at events.

Artist in the state have put upon themselves and their works have been up to standard recently at least to be compared with Lagos Underground, but How do the audience get to hear these sounds?

The the Media hypes can't fetch all the attention we need, the sounds have to play to the street, we need to understand that this is OUR TIME TO SHOW WHAT WE HAVE GOT to the world, and this begins with accepting our own sounds.

 Irrespective of Language the community around us is ready accept our sounds depending on how we present them. Indigenous Raper Olamide, sold millions of record even to the international level, why because Lagos and Nigeria understood, loved, and show case his work to the world, DJs played his songs in Night clubs , mixtapes, weddings etc which most of these events are followed by different audience round the world, Benue Djs need to emulate this.

Djs should understand that they have a big role to play in the music scene, Djs also serve as middle man between artist and investors, when they play sounds of artist that are not known to some regions.

Djs irrespective of whether they produce thier personal sounds or not, are required to create tapestry of Sounds that will Define what their brands represent making it unique and marketable.
